Great Shine, was easy to apply as advertised.

Just bought a new Tesla and was looking for a product to help with paint protection and promote shine and luster. This product claimed to be an easy do it yourself, high quality ceramic coat. Viewing YouTube, there were a number of videos backing this claim so I tried it. Considering my car is new there was no to no paint correction needed. After clay and and surface cleanse I used the AvalonKing ceramic kit. Application was easy and fast. Product did not flash too fast so there were no high spots. The shine and luster was immediate. Having no detailing experience I thought it would be a lot more challenging, but Nope, it was pretty simple. Price range super reasonable, time will tell on its longevity and quality.

How could we improve this product? (optional): Cheaper, better bottle design, make it sturdy enough to put up with automatic washing.

Really it’s 3.5 stars

I’m being generous and rounding to four stars. The product is fine, easy to apply, the kit is small but complete. The shine is similar to what you get with a good silica wax.
The downsides are simple: first, i see no reason to consider this higher quality than less expensive ceramic coatings you can get elsewhere. This is the overwhelming issue for me, as Avalon marketed this stuff well but it’s more sizzle than steak.
Second, i was surprised to see that they recommend you don’t run the car through automatic car washes after application, which for me means either I’ll be washing this car once every three months, or I’ll be breaking their rules. This turns out to be normal for ceramic coatings, too. It says easy maintenance, but it’s all relative.

Also, tiny problem: that lovely chrome bottle isn’t see-through, so I have no idea how much I used or how much I have left. That stresses me out during application. Seems there was plenty.

I don’t know, your mileage may vary. Not a bad product.

Support and Quality is awesome

Hello everybody,
i have been using armor shield for quite some time now and not only the quality is awesome. I ordered 2 new kits and one of them was damaged. It had crystal flakes in the bottled and when I wanted to coat the car i really couldn´t because the little hole were the product has to come out was clogged up. I then wrote an e-mail to ask what I can do about it and the team was super supportive and helpful and sent out 2 brand new bottles to me. BTW I live in Germany so shipping is expensive as well!
I just love AvalonKing and I thank them so much for their great work!
