Microfiber Buffing Towels 3-pack
I apparently had a much better experience than other users.
I didn’t use these to remove armor shield, mostly because they’re “buffing towels”, and when I use them for that purpose, they’re hands down the best towel I’ve used for removing compounds and polish.
I didn’t have any issues with fuzz, or residues being dragged around. I won’t use anything else for my buffing from now on.
Love Avalon king . Easily the best diy coating on the market
These are some good towels. In order to get the best performance from them, you have to do your prep work. TLDR: If your surface is not smooth, you will get lint left behind when using.
When you first remove these from the package, take them outside and shake them out. Toss them in the washer using a dye and perfume free detergent, place them on the hand wash cycle with tap water temp. After they're done, toss then in the dryer on the Air Dry setting. Now the towels are ready to use....BUT only on surfaces that have been thoroughly decontaminated, and sealed!! The fibers on these towels are so plush that they will snag on ANY imperfection on the surface, thus leaving behind lint. I was using them as a buffer after IPA wipes on a newly corrected panel, and they still left behind lint. Where these towels excel is the buffing after a coating has been applied. After the coating has been leveled use these to buff off that small amount that you can not see. When used on a properly coated surface they glide on top of the surface leaving no residue and a coating free surface. I hope this helps.
No problems using the towels for the purpose of buffing.
I washed the towels before hand and machine dried as well. Used it as a final buff for toppers, sealants, and waxes. I did not use it to apply, only to buff.
No problems with lint appearing or any streaking or smearing.
I found it easy to use just one towel for the entirety of a sedan, unsure about SUVs, CUVs, or vans.
I think a lot of the Avalon King products do make the prep phase very easy but these in particular are not required. I think these would be useful if you had to do a heavy-duty prep where you're using products to help deep-clean and remove grime and residue. And also maybe if you are preparing to use other products in the future. But I didn't find them very useful during the prep phase other than being really good at drying the vehicle. Otherwise I found that they left too many streaks and fluff behind, which you obviously want neither as you prep for the Armor Shield IX coating.
