- Really, it’s a shampoo?!
- Add 1oz shampoo per gallon of water in a bucket.
- Stir vigorously to activate foam suds.
- Clean wheels first…otherwise Work from top-down; lather up (the car), rinse, repeat.
- Dry using a clean microfibre towel.
- Admire your handywork – see, you deserve nice things!
Nothing much – just water and some decent microfiber cloths and towels. Check out our wash mitt to get into those heard-to-reach places. We always recommend washing your ride using the two-bucket method, but really, it’s up to your own preference.

Easy to use & left car squeakie clean ready for ceramic coat
Used the Prep Shampoo on 2010 Silverado with a failing three year old ceramic coat. Truck lives outside, Canadian winter, and goes to steal fabrication site weekly. So needless to say lots of fall out, steel dust, primer , paint and all sorts of junk.
Prep shampoo worked great removing ninety percent of the contamination. Still did an iron remover. Not much left after the Prep shampoo. Used the Prep Shampoo with clay wash mitt after. Wow super slick and anything that was left was gone. Quick polish, ten hours lol. Prep wipe and then a few more prep wipes….Then Avalon King!!!!

Prep shampoo is easy to use, smells good, removes surface dirt, dust, bird shite, etc and a decent value for the money. As has been drilled into their marketing efforts, the effectiveness of the Amour Shield is only as good as the prep work. Using the right products makes your elbow grease that much better. It all starts with the first wash. Definitely recommend this product. And BTW, it appears from Avalon King’s promotional material you would think this system is only for high end luxo-barges, six figure ticket magnets and hyper-cars from Iceland. This stuff works on older, daily drivers as well.
