Armor Shield IX was the first product we ever made. And really it came about because we thought we could do it better that what was out there (*and live the American dream).

It wasn’t meant to be that way. Neither of our CoFounders are chemical specialists nor had any sort of background in car care.

When we first came up with the idea in 2017 ceramic coatings were really only aimed at professionals. The marketing was absurdly over the top (lighting hoods on fire, scratching it with a fork, acid etc…) and nothing was particularly user friendly to the average car person. The coatings were super sensitive, hard to buff, didn’t come with any of the application materials, and the instructions were confusing and contradictory. The professional stuff cost upwards of 2k to have it applied.

That said, the technology was very cool.

And after stumbling across it, and testing out all of the competition, some by huge multi conglomerates, we thought we could do better. A lot better.

With 10k in our pocket we started the company. Tested a bunch of formulas, designed a kit for the average car guy, and brought it to market.

6 months later we had probably sold about 100 kits.

Your kit contains simple illustrated instructions and our expert support is on hand at all times to guide you through the process.

ASIX is safe to apply to: Pain, Rims, Glass and Trim.

1. Wrap 1 of the supplied clothes around the applicator sponge. Using the card provide, press the cloth into both sides to firmly secure it.
2. Shake the bottle then liberally apply drops to heavily saturate the cloth.
3. Wipe a tick layer across the car surface. Go horizontally, then vertically to ensure an even application.
4. Continue to spread in a cross hatch pattern until you have completely covered the surface.
5. Let the coating sit until it flashes, then remove the residue by lightly buffing with the supplied towel.
6. Once done, proceed to apply and then buff the coating 1 body part at a time.

To obtain optimal performance, it is essential that the car surface is perfectly clean and smooth. It must also be completely free from other waxes or sealants.

1. Clean and decontaminate with AvalonKing's Ceramic Prep Shampoo & washmitt.
2. Smooth the surface with the Detailing Clay Towel.
3. Polish the surface (optional).
4. Remove any residue from old chemicals, soaps, or sealants with the AvalonKing's Prep Spray.

THE DO'S ✅

• DO Prep Like a Pro: Wash, clay bar, and IPA wipe (isopropyl alcohol) your paint before applying. The cleaner the surface, the better the bond.
• DO Work in the Shade: Apply in a garage or a shaded area. A cool surface is mandatory.
• DO Work in Small Sections: Coat one panel (or half a hood) at a time (approx. 2x2 ft).
• DO Buff Off Completely: Wipe off the residue once the coating "flashes" (rainbow effect). Do not let it dry on the paint without buffing.
• DO Wait to Wash: Keep the car dry for at least 48 hours after application.

THE DON'TS ❌

• DON’T Apply in Direct Sunlight: The heat will cure the coating too fast, leaving streaks and high spots.
• DON’T Apply Over Wax: Armor Shield IX needs to bond to clear coat, not old wax. Strip the paint first.
• DON’T Rush the Cure: Do not wash the vehicle with soap or chemicals for the first 7 days.
• DON’T Coat the Whole Car at Once: You won't have time to buff it off before it hardens.
• DON’T Panic: If you make a mistake (like a high spot), you can fix it. Just polish that spot and re-apply.
